Florida Businesses Now Able to File 2001 Uniform - Business Report Online

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2001--Florida businesses can now file their 2001 Uniform Business Reports (UBR) via the Internet at www.sunbiz.org. The online service is available for profit and non-profit corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies in Florida. Implemented by the State of Florida and Link2Gov Corporation, the site has already served several thousand businesses in the first three weeks of January 2001.

Notices have been mailed to Florida businesses informing them of this service as well as reminding them that the filing deadline is May 1, 2001. By filing over the Internet, organizations can save time and can file any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"We encourage Florida businesses to take advantage of this electronic filing process. It is our goal to make it easier for businesses to interact with the government."

To file the 2001 UBR online:

• Go to www.sunbiz.org
• Click on "Electronic Filing"
• Select the "UBR filing"
• Follow the simple instructions

Payment can be made by credit card or electronic checking payment (e-check).
