FRANKFORT, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 2002--Link2Gov Corp. announced today that it has been awarded the electronic
payment processing contract for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Link2Gov, a premiere provider of electronic payment processing and e-Government technology solutions, will begin accepting
electronic payments for state agencies before the end of 2002. Kentucky cities, counties, universities, school districts and
other quasi-governmental agencies are eligible to participate under this agreement immediately.
After a competitive bidding process, the Nashville-based Link2Gov was granted the exclusive, statewide, two-year contract
with four one-year renewal options.
The agreement encompasses the following payment methods: credit cards, debit cards and electronic funds transfers (EFT)
electronic checks. Citizens can make payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week over the Internet and telephone. Electronic
payments will also be accepted at state offices across the Commonwealth.
"We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this contract by the Commonwealth of Kentucky," said Tom Tarver, president of
Link2Gov. "The Commonwealth of Kentucky is in the forefront of providing online services to their citizens and we are honored
to be selected as a part of that initiative. We also feel it is further validation that our products are tailored to the
specific requirements of government agencies. We look forward to providing these services to the citizens of Kentucky." In May
2002 Link2Gov was awarded the electronic payment processing contract for the IRS.
