Metro Trustee Now Offers Online Tax Payment Option
-With No Convenience Fee to the Citizen

Business Editors NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2002-Metropolitan Trustee of Nashville and Davidson County
Charlie Cardwell announced today that an online payment option is available for citizens to pay their property, personalty and
public utility taxes for calendar year 2002.
The Web site www.Nashville.Gov/Trustee will accept VISA and MasterCard Credit
and Check Cards.
"We are happy to be able to offer this e-Government service to the citizens of Davidson County, especially without charging
them a convenience fee," said Cardwell. "We hope that providing our citizens with more payment options, combined with 24-hour,
seven-day-a-week access to conduct business, will enhance their experience with the Trustee's office."
Beginning October 7 approximately 250,000 tax-due notices will be mailed to Davidson County residents and businesses. The
due date is February 28, 2003.
Nashville-based Link2Gov Corp. developed the Web payment application to accept VISA and MasterCard payments and provides the
cashless payment processing service for the Trustee. The e-Government technology solutions provider has government clients on
the local,state and federal levels and in May was awarded the contract to provide cashless payment processing for the IRS.
